With its mission of bringing artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds together, the Eubie Blake Cultural Center (The Eubie) supports, develops, promotes and advocates for cultural and educational programming in the visual and performing arts in Baltimore. In support of our community, The Eubie collaborates with area schools to highlight the talents of local youth and provide scholarships to support our students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We recently held an exhibit that featured artwork created by students from two local schools and presented an exhibition by the artist, high-school senior Akia Jones. In addition, we hosted an exhibit entitled Self, Soul, + Resistance, which was curated by Markele Cullins, with more than a dozen young African-American artists participating.
These are but a few illustrations of the programming and community participation made possible through the Eubie Blake Cultural Center which, in turn, is made possible by you and your outstanding support.
Please join with us this year by making a generous tax-deductible contribution of $25, $50, $75, $100 or more online at www.eubieblake.org to help us keep the good times rolling. Also, please visit our site to learn more about The Eubie and what exactly your generous gift helps support.
We promise every penny donated will be put to good use in preserving the legacy of Eubie Blake through top-notch programs, exhibitions and cultural enrichment of all kinds!
